MAHONING TOWNSHIP AUTHORITY
MINUTES
SEPTEMBER 22, 2008
The Mahoning Township Authority held the
regular monthly meeting on September 22, 2008 at
7:00pm in the Mahoning Township Municipal
Building located at 1101 Bloom Rd., Danville, Pa. 17821.

The minutes of August 18, 2008 were
reviewed and approved as read. Unanimous.
Operators report:
Operator absent
The Operators water report was reviewed and
approved. Motion to approve made by Dave Barron seconded Grier
Boedker. Unanimous.
Valve on Red Lane installed. Motion to
accept price of $8890.00 for the valve made by Dave Barron,
Second Grier Boedker.
United Water Correlation Agreement in
progress. Dennis Rudisill will handle with his company.
Solicitors Report:
Currid Case:
High, Swartz legal firm suggests to
withdraw the lien held on the property without satisfaction and
render the scheduled hearing unnecessary.
The firm will calculate new information
regarding the higher census count and submit new billing to
Mr. Currid.
I and I ordinance
The Ordinance is scheduled to be approved
at the October Supervisors meeting and will take effect
January 1, 2009.
The fee schedule will be determined by
Authority Board.
Ordinance information will be forwarded to
Attorneys, Realtors and Abstract companies in the area.
Engineers Report:
Water sprinklers not recommended to be
placed in residential properties. (Arro)
Second part of Bloom Rd. relocation
reimbursement has not been received in office yet.
Woods Of Welsh Punchlist:
No updates
Old Business:
Bergerstock, Cole property
Papers were served to the Authority
executing a law suit pertaining to the property.
There is a possibility that 2000 people
could be affected if a blockage or problem would occur with the
sewer on that property. Rick Shoch, Attorney will respond to the
papers served. Mr. Shoch will contact Geisinger facilities and
Mr. Thomas Conlin, Director of the Maria Joseph Manor and
Meadows to discuss the possible situations that may occur.
Mariano letter requests additional
information regarding the Arro invoices. Payment has been made
in full.
Gary Burcher representing Danville
Ambulance sent updated Letter of Intent. Phase 4 proposes to
have 12 employees occupying the area. An Availability Letter
will be sent for 1.5 edus for Phase 4.
Dave Barron made the motion, Grier Boedker
seconded the motion. Unanimous.
New Business:
MMO Retirement Worksheet was reviewed and
discussed by all Members.
Quotes for new gas heat at the Red Lane
Facilities tabled.
Focus spreadsheet discussed. Grier Boedker
will calculate figures of cost and figures to recoupe costs of
the vehicle.
Time off sheets reviewed and approved.
Motion to accept as presented Dave Barron, second Grier Boedker

PMAA and Pa One call meeting info
discussed. No Board members interested in attending.
Motion to pay all bills submitted now or
previously approved. Unanimous
Budget was presented for review. Capital
Projects for Sewer projects suggested to be added to the Budget.
