The Mahoning Township Authority held the monthly meeting on
October 17, 2011 at 6:00pm in the Municipal Building located at 1101 Bloom Rd., Danville, Pa..

The meeting was Called to Order by Chairman, Thomas Mertz.

Those present for the meeting were Board Members:

Minutes of September 19, 2011 were reviewed. Approved as presented, motion made by Dick Jordan, second, Ed Draugelis. Unanimous

Water use down. Dave Barron moved to accept the report, Ed Draugelis seconds the motion. Unanimous

Gas meter equipment needs updated, does not function properly .Susquehanna Fire Equipment gave:

Quotes for repair: $1100.00

New meter: $1700.00

Gas Canister: $225.00

Motion made by Dick Jordan to purchase new equipment plus the canister to total $1925.00. Seconded by Ed Draugelis Unanimous

Two quotes were received to repair the leaking Kennedy valve at Bloom Rd at the PRV pit.

Fox Tapping of in-line valve to cost $7538.00

Sikora Bros. $4600.00

Dick Jordan motions to accept the Sikora quote of $4600.00, Dave Barron seconds the motion. Unanimous.

Solicitor
Right to Know requested items by Ryan Jennings, Esquire readied.

New Business
Budget prepared and reviewed by Board members.

Prepare in November for bank change beginning of January 2012.

Jim Hawkins at 8 Primrose has high readings and dispute the validity. The meter has been changed out to check future reads.

Margaret Flomer has high read. Operator and contractor found hose running in greenhouse. Bill will stand as is and will have to be paid. Unanimous.
