The Mahoning Township Authority held the monthly
meeting on August 15, 2011
at 6:00pm in the Municipal Building located at 1101 Bloom Rd.,
Danville, Pa..
The meeting was Called to Order by Chairman, Thomas Mertz.

Minutes of July 18, 2011 were reviewed. Approved as
presented. Unanimous. Outstanding Items
Reviewed
DEP letters addressed by Project Manager, Dale Heckman
Pine Barn Inn Expansion requested by Geisinger.
Spring St. Sewer re-stating about plugs and flows. Rick Shoch,
Solicitor will make call to Dep.
Operator
Water use report. Dave Barron moved to accept, Grier Boedker seconds
the motion. Unanimous
Rte. 11 meter malfunctioning.
Bloom Rd touch pad not working.
Tank leak repaired.
Old Business
Grease Trap Resolution reviewed. Grier Boedker made motion to adopt
Resolution, Dave Barron seconded the motion. Unanimous.
Elks paid 2009 invoice, 2011 invoice outstanding. Grease trap being
discussed for installation.
Cooper Township Sewer and Water
Response to Gwin Dobson letter was sent by Uni-Tec Engineering.
Mahoning Twp. Authority did not get any updated information
concerning the Cooper Twp. Sewer and Water lines.
New Business
L/B Water has submitted a proposal for a new meter system. Depending
on the type of meter the cost for 150 meters would be $18,020.00 or
$19,700.00. All meter reading equipment and training will be free.
Board requests to Table until next meeting. Secretary will call to
extend quote until September 19, 2011 meeting.
Secretary will call Rio for cost of new handheld.
Fnb sent direct deposit information. Board will not offer to
customers.
Secretary will call First Keystone Bank for updates.

Time off Sheets were motioned for approval by Dave Barron, second
Grier Boedker. Unanimous
Penalty assessed to account #1360 will remain. Penalty adjustment
previously made. Unanimous.

Barron seconded the motion. Unanimous
