Recycling

Mahoning Township has a mandatory recycling program with curbside collection, done in Zones A & B the second consecutive Thursday and Friday of each month.

Recycling brochures giving detailed information on the program are available at the Municipal Building.

Recycling buckets may also be obtained at the building during regular business hours.

Commercial business establishments situated within Mahoning Township are required to set up their own recycling program and must submit evidence of recycling arrangements and documentation of the tons of material recycled. New businesses should register with the Township office.

Please Recycle!

Township residents may also takes recyclables to JAWS Recycling on Railroad Street in Danville each Thursday from 9am-4pm. Township residents may still take articles on Friday. However, Mahoning Township will not get the credit.

**It is mandatory for all property owners within the township to display the street number of their house. This allows all emergency personnel to swiftly and accurately determine proper identification in times of emergency.  Numbers should be placed in a conspicuous location of said property and not be less than three inches tall. They should contrast in color with the background upon which they are affixed in order to be legible from the abutting street, road, or highway.
